X-Pivot Truck

V2 Update: The pivot pin is no longer fixed into the axle during assembly with a set screw. The pivot pin is now a captive 5/16 AN bolt with nyloc nut. The axle thread length has been reduced a little bit and all three nuts are fine pitch 5/16-24.

SPECS:
Available in 55 and 20 degree baseplates.
Ultra-light weight (<300g) and soooo low!
Ultra-low friction, 1 DOF pivot, no metal on metal contact!
Axle width adjustable between 127-150 mm.
Zero rake means effortless pump initiation and easier mongo steering. Adequate pushing stability results from using Krank in the rear with a bit more pre-tension than the front truck.
The pumping feel is infinitely adjustable with changes to duro, pre-tension, washer shape, wedging, and rear truck reversal.
Ride height can be fine tuned to exactly what you want using risers:
YOU WILL NEED 1.5 INCHES OF RISERS TO GET TO NORMAL TRUCK HEIGHT. 1" IF TOP MOUNTED ON A DROP THROUGH. Most people use a lot less than that to get low with big wheels!

SAFETY:
No kingpin to break! The pivot pin is blocked by the deck from falling out even if the nut falls off.

MATERIALS:
Body is 7075 T6 Aluminum.
Axle is heat treated and shot peened 17-4 Stainless Steel, optimized for strength, toughness and fatigue resistance.
Both are designed for 10 million pump cycles for a rider up to 200 lbs. Figure about 300 cycles per mile if you pump 50% of the time. You can do the math from there since mileage varies.
The flanged sleeve pivot bearings are PTFE/PFAS free, optimized for pulsating loads with a service life of over 120,000 hours.

BUSHINGS:
REQUIRES FAT CONE BUSHINGS with a shallow 120-135 degree 1 inch diameter recess on the fat end. Tall Fat Cones will result in a wider minimum width unless the nylon spacer is reduced or replaced with a shorter one. Recessed bushings and other accessories are coming soon! Typical bushing recommendations:

55 Deg Front (go one softer if using a bracket)
<160 lbs: 60A APS Light Orange Fat Cone
160-180 lbs: 65A APS Light Yellow Fat Cone
180-200 lbs: 70A APS Purple Fat Cone
200 lbs+: 75A APS Green Fat Cone

20 Deg Rear (Spec'd for fast pumping, go softer if you prefer carving or slower speed pumps).
<160 lbs: 87A White Krank Fat Cone
160-180 lbs: 90A Green Krank Fat Cone
180-200 lbs: 93A Red Wine Krank Fat Cone
200 lbs+: 96A Grey Krank Fat Cone

NOTES: If you want zero degrees, check out the less expensive T-Zero "Truck" (no pivot axis), de-wedge the 20 deg truck, or reverse mount the 20 deg truck on a kick. Running at -20 also works great to give the feel of a slightly longer wheel base, like running a zero degree on a slightly longer deck.
